                      RESEARCH ASSOCIATE
                       ATLAS EXPERIMENT
                    UNIVERSITY OF ALBERTA

The ATLAS group at the University of Alberta has an opening for a
Research Associate.  The group's present activities focus on the
calorimeter readout electronics, the hadronic endcap calorimeter, the
event filter (3'rd level trigger) and physics simulations.  We are
looking for a candidate with experience in electronics development.
Knowledge of readout electronics, triggering, or calorimetry would be
beneficial.  We are particularly looking for the candidate to take a
leading role in the development of fast digital logic circuits.
Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.  The
closing date for applications is 1 August 2000.
