Setting the trigger discriminator

 Basic steps

The discriminator C207 which control the LAC trigger is located in the CAMAC crate 1, slot 23.

The channels partecipating in the trigger are:

ch=0,1,2,3,4,5,6

  • ch = 0   ---->  PRODUCT * 5  [(LEFT*RIGHT PMTs signals)*5]   module 1
  • ch = 1   ---->  PRODUCT * 5  [(LEFT*RIGHT PMTs signals)*5]   module 2
  • ch = 2   ---->  (SUM - LEFT) * 5        module 1
  • ch = 3   ---->  (SUM - RIGHT) * 5     module 1
  • ch = 4   ---->  (SUM - LEFT) * 5        module 2
  • ch = 5   ---->  (SUM - RIGHT) * 5     module 2
  • ch = 6   ---->   SIGNAL FROM THE PULSE GENERATOR for the PEDESTAL RUN

The procedure to set the threshold for the LAC trigger discriminator is the same used for the C207 discriminators threshold setting/control used in the LAC electonics.

WARNING:

The value you write in the file is twice the actual value in the CAMAC C207 discriminator; so

to load say, 100 mV you have to write 200 !
Don't load more the 1000 mV, or the settings will be discarded !
