PAN is an experiment designed to study the nuclear medium effect in the nucleon resonance excitation and the onset of the shadowing effect.

Measurements were performed in '92 at the Frascati Jet-Target photon beam facility up to 1.2 GeV and have been extended in '96 up to 2.7 GeV at the Bonn SAPHIR photon beam facility.

The Frascati measurement (N.Bianchi spokesperson)

The Bonn measurement (N.Bianchi, V.Muccifora and W.J.Schwille spokespersons)

The TJNAF measurement PR-93-019 "Photoabsorption and Photofission of Nuclei" ( B.Berman, N.Bianchi and V.Muccifora spokespersons) will run only with the photofission set-up.
