WORKSHOP ON THEORY AND COMPUTATION
FOR SYNCHROTRON RADIATION
General Information
We are pleased to announce a Workshop to be held at the Frascati National Laboratory of INFN, Frascati (ITALY) on September 23-25, 1999.
This Workshop is a sequel to the ones held in 1997 at Berkeley and in 1998 at Argonne.
The format of the meeting will consist of a number of invited oral presentations followed by extended discussions with all participants. Both experimentalists and theorists are invited.
The purpose of the Workshop is to dicuss the up-to-dated
theoretical understanding of Synchrotron Radiation Spectroscopies through
a strong interaction between theorists and experimentalists. Advances in
the fundamental aspects of the theory as well
as the developments of efficient theoretical methods
to calculate and simulate experiments are the main goals of this workshop.
In this respect the establishment of a "Theory Network"
both for theorists and users is expected to be one of the possible outputs
of such a meeting.
The Workshop fee is
Lit. 150.000, (to be paid at the Registration Desk, no advance payment,
no checks, no credit cards).
It includes proceedings,
shuttle service during the Conference, coffee breaks, lunches and social
dinner.
