EURODAPHNE High precision elementary particle physics  at the Phi-factory Daphne

Project overview

The Phi-factory has been commissioned at the end of 1998. At the beginning of 1999 the KLOE detector, which is presently taking data, has been been installed.

The theoretical work of EURODAPHNE will concern:

• CP and CPT Physics in the Kaon system
• Chiral Perturbation Theory and Models for low-energy dynamics of light and strange quarks
• K and eta Decays
• A novel analysis of pion-pion scattering at threshold and phaseshift structure from K decay
• Total hadronic cross-section in electron-positron collisions below 2 GeV
• Vector Mesons in effective Lagrangians
• Gluon dynamics and spectroscopy above the phi-meson
• Nuclear Physics with Kaons from phi-decays
