Yamauchi (KeK) Achievements of B factories and the SuperKEKB project Abstract         The two B factories, Belle at KEK and BaBar at SLAC, have been playing outstanding roles in understanding of the flavor mixing and CP violation in the quark sector.         In addition to the scientific results, an important consequence of these experiments is that it has been demonstrated that the flavor mixing and CP in the new phsyics sector can also be studied, if the accelerator and the detector are properly upgraded.         In this talk, the scientific achievements of the B factories are reviewed with some emphasis on their connection to the new physics beyond the standard model, and the upgrade program of the KEKB machine is reviewed.
