Prospects of Experimental Study of the Neutron-Antineutron
   Production at VEPP-2000 e+e- Collider
 
 
 
 
 

  Abstract




The new VEPP-2000 e+e- collider being constructed in Novosibirsk is described. The collider CM energy 2.0 GeV is slightly above the nucleon-antinucleon production threshold allowing experimental study of e+e- -> N Nbar reaction. The design collider luminosity of 0.1/(nb.sec) provides production of more than 10 k p pbar, n nbar events per year.
The capabilities of SND detector for n nbar detection are discussed. As the first option the existing SND detector "as it is", is considered.
Another approach is an SND upgrade to make n nbar detection more efficient.
Finally, other n nbar detector structures of FENICE-like or KLOE calorimeter types are discussed.
