Abstract The ALICE experiment will produce heavy-ion collisions (Pb+Pb) at 5.5A TeV in order to reproduce the Quark-Gluon Plasma. The PHOS detector is in charge of the study of one of the most interesting signatures of the collision, photons. I review the production and identification of this particle and the identification of jet-quenching processes with this detector.
