Postdoctoral Position in Experimental Neutrino Physics

The University of Minnesota has a strong experimental particle physics
program consisting of nine faculty who are playing leading roles in the
CMS experiment at the CERN LHC, BTEV at Fermilab, MINOS and CDMS II at
the Soudan mine and CLEO at Cornell. This program is reinforced by a
strong theoretical physics program. We are especially interested in
candidates to enhance our research in neutrino oscillations. The
University of Minnesota is heavily involved in research and development
for future neutrino oscillation experiments such as NOvA (Numi Off-axis
nu_e Appearance experiment). This position also provides the candidate
the opportunity to contribute to the MINOS collaboration as well as the
opportunity to analyze data from the approaching
beam runs of MINOS (expected late 2004).

Applicants with hardware and software experience and with a Ph.D. in
experimental particle physics, particle astrophysics and related fields
will be considered. Qualified candidates should send their curriculum
vitae, a brief description of their research experience and interests,
and arrange for three letters of reference to be sent to:
