Last wire of the Drift Chamber Strung on NOV 11th 1997
The 52,140 and last wire of the KLOE
Drift Chamber
was strung on Tuesday, November 11 at 17:42:37. In about 11 months
the DC team put in place about 200 Km of Al and W 10 microns diameter
wires, also assuring the wires mechanical and HV requirements to be
satisfied.
Due to the mechanical structure of the DC the last three layers were
strung with manual transportation of the wires from one endplate
to the other.
A giant Ferrari Spumante bottle celebrate the event.
