The Workshop on the “Microbunching Instability III”, will be held at INFN-LNF, Frascati on March 24-26, 2010.
Over the past few years the microbunching instability has been established as a relevant topic for the FEL performance. A large interest has risen around theoretical understanding and numerical modeling, as well on experimental observations and diagnostic techniques. The workshop builds on the first two mBI workshops held in 2007 at Sincrotrone Trieste and in 2008 at LBNL Berkley, aiming to provide an opportunity for reviewing and exchanging the latest advances in the field.
Invitees include researchers currently active in experiments, theory, and numerical simulations on these topics.
