The "Giornate di Studio SPARX e
Applicazioni" will be held at the Frascati
National Laboratories on 9-10 May 2005.
The aim of the Workshop is to inform the Italian
Scientific Community on the present FEL activities
at Frascati and, on the other hand, to stimulate a
discussion on possible applications of soft X-ray
radiation of FEL in the fields of materials,
biology, micro and nano technologies and
fundamental phenomena in phisics and chemistry.
Such applications will be grouped on the basis of
the main radiation properties: temporal structure,
coherence, high intensity and polarization.

example shown in fig. 1.c corresponds to a
simulation in time-dependent mode at 5 nm and 1.4
