Place and date
The
conference will take place from 7th to 11th of
April 2003, in INFN Frascati National Laboratories
(LNF). The Laboratories are located 30 Km South
East of Rome, amid vineyards and olive groves, 3 Km
downhill from the small town of Frascati, a very
interesting old town spread on the hills leading to
ancient Tusculum, with a beautiful view on the city
of Rome.
2.
Scientific Organization
The
conference consists only of plenary sessions, with
selected contributions and summary
talks.
Proceedings
will be published.
Participants
are invited to submit abstracts for presentation by
e-mail to photon03@lnf.infn.it.
The
deadline for abstract submission has been fixed for
March 1st, 2003.

Information

Computing
In
addition to the usual computing facilities, network
access for laptop computers may be made available.
In order to access it, conference participants are
urged to include the MAC address of their network
card on the registration form.
Conference
fee
The
conference fee of 250 Euros is to be paid in cash
upon arrival. It will include lunches, coffee
breaks, conference dinner, transportation between
LNF and the town of Frascati, social activies and a
copy of the conference proceedings.
Registration
Interested
participants are urged to register before February
15, 2003 at the conference website. Because of high
pressure of the tourist season in April, it may be
difficult to secure hotel accommodations beyond
this date.
4.
Accommodation
Participants
will be housed in hotels in the town of Frascati.
Hotels vary in price and facilities, their
description can be found in the conference web
page. To reach LNF from Frascati town during the
conference, there will be a conference bus whose
schedule will be published on the web page. The bus
will display a copy of the poster and will take the
participants back and forth from the town to LNF
every morning and in the evening, at the end of
sessions.
5.
Travel Information
Airplane
connections
From
Leonardo da Vinci airport in Fiumcino (FCO), you
can reach LNF either by train or by car. The
fastest way is to take a taxi, which will take you
to LNF in about 40 minutes, at a cost of about
60Euros. Taxis are available at the airport or
could be reserved from the secretariat upon
request. If you plan to rent a car, instructions to
reach LNF can be found on the laboratory web page
http://www.lnf.infn.it/.
Train
connections
From
Fiumicino airport you can reach Frascati through
Rome Termini railroad station. Trains for Termini
leave the airport every half an hour, starting at
6:37 and up to 23:37. Once in Termini station you
can reach the town of Frascati, where hotels are
located, using the Rome-Frascati line. From
Frascati train station, most of the hotels can be
reached on foot or by a short taxi ride. An
exception is Hotel Villa Campitelli, which is some
20 minutes walking downhill from the Frascati
railroad station.
If
you wish to arrive directly to LNF from Rome, you
can take the Roma-Frosinone-Cassino line and get
off at Tor Vergata station. The laboratories are
located 200 meters uphill, on the left hand side
along Via Enrico Fermi. Notice that LNF are not
within walking distance to the hotels.
