This workshop is the sequel to the ones held in 1999 at Frascati and in 2002 at Grenoble, supported by the SRRTNET European contract.

The purpose of the workshop is to discuss the demands made to the theorists by the modern applications of Synchrotron Radiation in Biology. Advances in the development of efficient theoretical methods to calculate and interpret experiments are the main goal of this workshop.

The main topics are:

 X-ray diffraction and MAD

 X-ray absorption from core level

 Small Angle X-Ray Scattering

 Infrared Spectroscopy

Biological applications of Molecular Dynamics

The format of the meeting will consist of a number of invited oral presentations followed by extended discussion with all the participants, short oral and poster presentations of young scientists.
